From Professor to Ballerina {Amelia Island Portrait Photographer}

I love it when the theme of a session evolves from its original intent, and this one is a perfect example.  A while back, my friend Ktimene contacted me to book a personal branding session.  She was in need of updated professional portraits, had a specific look she wanted to evoke, and knew we could work together to make it happen.

During our consultation, we discussed how Ktimene wanted to be captured.  She needed the photo for a series of lectures, but also for board appointments, so we discussed capturing a modern and unstuffy "professor" look.  However, a skirt in our studio wardrobe also caught Ktimene's eye, and we discussed possibly doing a look wearing that.

We had such a lovely time during the session.  We had refreshments, magazine-style lighting, and Edith Piaf playing softly in the background.  Hair and makeup really brought the looks together.

The resultant images were nothing short of spectacular.  Ktimene has such a graceful elegance about her, and was at ease in front of my lens.  We were able to go from serious to dreamy in one session, providing her not only with her professional portraits, but images her family will treasure.

 Every woman should have beautiful images of herself.

Commenting on her session, Ktimene said: "In which one goes in for headshots for university lecturing and emerges as her childhood ballerina dream."

Now THAT is an experience everyone should have.  Contact us to learn more.
